WHAT IS AN INTRAGASTRIC BALLOON?
Intragastric balloon is a treatment that involves a silicon balloon to be placed in the stomach to limit the intake capacity of the stomach and thus allow the patient to lose weight quite comfortably.
During the administration, the patient is not under general anaesthesia.
As it is not a surgical operation, the patient can much comfortably go back to his/her daily routine before and after the operation.
Intragastric balloons are divided into two types which can be left in place for 6 or 12 months, which are chosen depending on the targeted weight loss.

Intragastric balloon is a treatment that can be used on patients fighting obesity with a body mass index over 25
Who have not experienced sufficient weight loss before surgery and who wish to lose weight without surgery.
After the operation, the patient will feel full with much less food and thus can gain control over his/her eating so that he/she can reach an ideal weight faster than before.
